Is the AI tattoo generator free?

Yes. You can generate tattoo designs and stencil outlines for free, without creating an account or entering payment details. Fair-use rate limits apply so the service stays available for everyone.

Do I need to sign up to use the tool?

No sign-up is required to start generating tattoos. You can input your prompt or upload a photo immediately and download the results.

Can I upload a photo of the tattoo I want?

Yes. Use the Photo to Stencil mode to upload a photo, hand sketch, or reference image. The AI will redraw it as a clean line-art tattoo design.

How do I use the design at the tattoo studio?

Download the high-resolution PNG — the finished design and, if you want, a black-line stencil outline — and bring it to your tattoo artist. Treat it as a concept reference: your artist will adapt size, line weight, and placement for your body.

Can it cover up an old tattoo?

Yes. The cover-up tool lets you upload a photo of your existing tattoo and preview dense, high-contrast designs (like blackwork or Japanese irezumi) layered over it. Dark, dense styles generally conceal old ink best.

How many tattoo designs can I generate?

You can generate many designs per session for free. To prevent abuse, there is a fair-use limit of about ten generations per hour per person.

What tattoo styles are supported?

Twelve styles are available: fine line, blackwork, realism, watercolor, Japanese traditional (Irezumi), geometric, neo-traditional, tribal, minimalist, dotwork, Chicano, and trash polka.

Are the generated tattoo designs unique?

Every design is generated fresh from your prompt, so results are one of a kind. You are free to use your generated designs as personal tattoo references. For commercial use of AI-generated artwork, check the rules that apply in your country.
